The Kassi Club is the latest venture from seasoned restauranteur and designer Nick Mathers, and the newest addition to the Wish You Were Here Group restaurants such as: Goldie’s, Élephante, Eveleigh, Ruby’s and Little Ruby’s to name a few.Kassi Club, a new Greek getaway tucked away on West Third Street that’s now open for weekday dinners and brunch to late-night dinner on weekends. The stylish hangout recently had a luxe grand opening bash that included guests like Nina Dobrev, Anne Winters, Christa Allen, Nicole Williams-English, Larry English, and Daphne Joy as well as a slew of social media stars.

Executive chef Thomas Lim is behind the menu, which prides itself on being “neither Greek nor Australian”. Expect Greek-inspired dishes with a California twist, including grilled mains that are meant to be shared family-style! Let’s be honest, there are plenty items to LOVE about this menu!

The crab fettuccine (herb butter, tarragon, spicy zoug) spanakopita (tzatziki, green chili sauce) and the cheese saganaki (topped with cherry honey) are great options! The Greek salad is far from basic (cucumbers, sung olds, green pepper, caper berries, feta and oregano)! The salt baked branzino is a must! It’s a 2-lb fillet topped with mint, lemon, and chimchurri – seasoned to perfection.

Not your average greek salad!

The drink menu (developed by Élephante bar director Julien Calella) boasts inventive cocktails that are shaken, stirred, as well as a few wine options. The menu serves up a plethora of Mediterranean island-flavored cuisines and cocktails in a chic Greece-inspired lounge! It comes as no surprise that Wish You Were Here Group has a knack for creating island life vibes into its chic establishments. The neutral tones, high ceilings complete with sky light and an at-home-feel is reason enough to stay at the Kassi Club while sipping refreshing cocktails such as “The Kassi”(tequila, tsikoudia, lime, watermelon, pineapple, chili). If there is anything LA loves it’s a good vibe and good food to follow. Kassi Club nails both of those aspects – with an aesthetic that’s 100%.
